REGISTRATION

The minimal user registration process is simple. There are 11 steps, step 1 select REGISTER on the left hand side of the web page. The next six are in the User Details. The following three steps are in the Institution Information. The steps 2 to 10 are the only required fields for data and they are marked in the WayStation with an asterisk. The last step select Join now at the bottom of the page submits your registration. Full WayStation access is now available to you.

2. Enter your Surname
3. Enter your Given Name
4. Enter your Email no1
5. Enter a Username
6. Enter a Password
7. Confirm the Password
8. Enter your Institution
9. Enter your City
10. Enter your Country
11. Select Join now

DATA SUBMISSION

The minimal data submission process is simple. There are sixteen steps. Step 1 log in using your Username and password. Step 2 select Submit Data. Step 3 select General Information at the top of the web page. The next five steps to complete are in General Information. Step 9 select Variant Details. Five additional steps are in Variant Details. The steps 4 to 8 and 10 to 14 are the only required fields for data and they are marked in the WayStation with an asterisk. Step 15 select Submit Data from the top of the page. For the last step select Submit Data Now. You have now submitted your data to WayStation.

2. Select Submit Data
3. Select General Information
4. Select a Publication Status
5. Enter a Pubmed id if a variant is published
6. This is set as a default to Human
7. Select or enter a Gene Symbol (it may be available from the pull down menu).
8. Enter the Gene Name in full if the Gene Symbol was not available in the pull down box
9. Select Variant Details
10. Enter a Reference sequence accession and version number
11. Enter a Sequence if it is not in a database
12. Enter a Name of the variant
13. Enter 25 bases 5' of the variation site.
14. Enter 25 bases 3' of the variation site.
15. Select Submit Data
16. Select Submit Data Now

Bear in mind that The WayStation may or may not display the web site accordingly to your settings. Its a matter of fine tuning each individual browsers. Evidently we can't accomodate all existing browsers. Be aware that Searching the Database might take some time to load if you are connected with 56Kb Modem connection. It is recommended to use a higher speed connection.
